• The fabric weave has an interesting puckered effect.
• Unique double collar design with wool stand up collar beneath the fox fur.
• Six large decorative buttons.
• Two slash front pockets.
• Wide 3/4 sleeves.

Townley was a high-fashion brand from the Muse’s Department Store headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.  Both new designs and copies of Paris fashions were produced under this label.  Forstmann-Stevens was a merger of the J.P. Stevens and Fortsmann mills in 1957.  They made specialty wool fabric but not the finished garments.
