Silk Dress & Jacket Details

• Gorgeous two-piece silk floral vintage suit.
• The Sleeveless dress is ideal for summer daytime wear.
• Add the jacket for more formal events or cocktail.
• This suit would be perfect for exiting your wedding reception.
• Silk sleeveless dress in a medium and light blue floral design. Matching short waist jacket and belt.
• The dress has front and back bust darts and is fitted with side metal zipper.
• Closed back vent.
• Short two-button jacket with notched collar and 3/4 sleeves.
• The jacket is lined. Looped threads at each side hold the wide stiff belt in place.
• Large oversize buckle in the same fabric.
• Label size is vintage 12 but this dress is small, but please check the measurements listed below.

Jerry Gilden made of moderately-priced women’s ready-to-wear in the 1940s &1950s. At one time the company was one of the top five producers of women’s dresses in the United States.  His main designer was a woman named Giselle. She was responsible for designing the dresses and separates that made the Gilden name famous.  Jerry Gilden closed in 1960.
