What is a Capeline Hat
A capeline is a slope brimmed hat with a cloche-like crown, popular in the 1920s. One style of capeline has a fairly stiff brim that is wider on the sides and slopes down on each side, with a narrower brim in the front. Another style, the grand capeline, has a floppy brim that is wide all the way around but is worn folded back against the crown in the front, similar to a sou’wester.
