About Lawrence Vrba.
If you wonder who was responsible for much of the fabulous jewelry during the 1970s and 1980s then Lawrence Vrba was right in the middle of it. After leaving the military, he started as a counter at Miriam Haskell in 1969. There must have been a design spark in his DNA because he was quickly promoted to designer at the company.
He left Haskell with two other designers, Willi De Lillo and Bob Clark who were starting their own costume jewelry company. From there Vrba moved to Castlecliff and remained a designer there through the early 70s.
Vrba returned to Haskell and finally settled down as the principal designer from 1973 to 1981.
Since leaving Haskell he has designed his own line of jewelry. Collectors relish all of this design work through his storied career.
