About Siam Silver
The Siam silver jewelry was crafted in Thailand, formerly Siam, from the 1930s through the 1970s. Intended for the tourist trade, this type of jewelry is extremely popular to collect.
Niello, a technique involving the filling of carved-out sections of sterling silver with a black metallic compound typically composed of sulfur, copper, silver, and lead, was used, followed by polishing until achieving a smooth finish.
