Madge and Mr. Madge recently returned from a trip-of-a-lifetime through mainland China. First stop was Beijing. It was a hot August day and our itinerary took us through the Temple of Heaven park, Tiananmen Square and to the Forbidden City. Despite the heat most locals were impeccably turned out putting us Americans in their place.
In between dodging an armada of selfie sticks, Madge was delighted to see the abundance of beautiful hats. Here’s a look at some fun and stylish women from the day.
Two generations – Same colors, different style.
Set for the day. Iphone, water and fun wide brim straw hat.
Girlfriends.
This mom and her son where excited to pose. She was so flattered I wanted to photograph her wearing this lovely orange hat.
Pops of color.
Love the anime.
Future fashion maven in training.
Don’t you just love the large daisy on the side of this hat? Check out the fab wrap.
Taking a break in Tiananmen Square.
Photo time in the Forbidden City
See one you like?
This mom and daughter make a lovely pair. That’s a souvenir empress headdress. Madge snagged one for her own collection.
My favorite hat (and model) of the day.
The end of the day.
