Vintage Fair Isle Cap Details
- Light blue knit cap with brim.
- Dark blue and white fair isle design in a circular pattern on the crown.
- Large light blue pom on the top.
- Cap stretches to fit most.
- Fair Isle is a traditional knitting technique to create patterns with multiple colors. The design takes its name after Fair Isle, one of the Shetland Islands. Traditional patterns have a limited palette of five or so colors, use only two colors per row, are worked in the round, and limit the length of a run of any color.

- Pull a fabric tape measure or length of string around your head just slightly above the ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head.
- Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly. You are measuring your head exactly where the hat will sit in either inches or centimeters.
- If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next largest size.
