About Les Bernard

Lester Joy and Bernard Shapiro founded Les Bernard in the early 1960s, combining their first names for the brand name.  Les Bernard pieces gained renown for their unique approach to modern jewelry design and innovative use of materials, thanks to the company’s distinctive vision.

Yvette Brownstein joined the company as a designer in 1965 and rose to the position of design director in the mid 70s.

In the 1980s Les Bernard released a Dynasty Collection inspired by the TV drama chronicling  foibles of  the uber rich Carrington family. The company operated until the mid-90s.
