Stuart Nye was a home-based metal jewelry artist based in North Carolina After buying some jewelry making tools from a fellow hospital patient he started his business in the 1940s. Jewelry was made from various metals including copper, brass, and sterling silver. Eventually retiring in the 1970s, his partner purchased the business and moved it into a commercial building. The Stuart Nye company is still producing jewelry today.
