The Whispering Leaf jewelry set is one of the prettiest made by Sarah Coventry.
Sarah Coventry Jewelry Details
- The Whispering Leaf collection by Sarah Coventry, also called Whispering Leaves, debuted in 1959.
- Known for its nature-inspired design,
- Our includes a necklace and bracelet. The original collection also featured clip earrings.
- The design features large white enamel metal leaves with polished silver-tone veins.
- Complemented by clusters of silver “berries,” giving each piece a delicate, organic look.
- The necklace and bracelet both have leaves linked together.
- The necklace clasp is a J-hook.
- The bracelet has a fold-over clasp.
- Each piece is marked with the Sarah Coventry logo, ensuring its authenticity as vintage jewelry from this era.

About Sarah Coventry
Emmons Home Fashions began in 1948 headed by Lyman K. Stuart. He named the company in honor of his mother, Caroline Emmons Stuart. Later the company’s name changed to Emmons Jewelry, Inc.
Stuart introduced Sarah Coventry jewelry shortly after establishing Emmons. The new line honored Lyman Stuart’s granddaughter, Sarah Coventry Beale (although some references claim that Sarah was his daughter). Both lines used home parties to sell their jewelry. Coventry jewelry was typically less expensive than the Emmons-branded designs.
Emmons contracted with jewelry manufacturers for their designs. Jewelry for both brands came in matching sets and designs covered all eras of jewelry. Sarah Coventry jewelry was very popular during the 1950s and 1960s and continued to be offered at home parties for a few years after Emmons 1981 bankruptcy, but eventually succumbed to competition by Avon.
