The label Evelyn Varon has an interesting backstory. There are ads from the 1900s – 1920s that describe Evelyn Varon hats as a style of turban. Later in the 1940s – 1960s the label Evelyn Varon Exclusive shows up in ads. Additional advertising mentions Evelyn Varon of Dallas. We haven’t determined if the milliners are related.
The mid-century Evelyn Varon was known for her distinctive and stylish hats, particularly during the mid-20th century. Operating primarily in the 1930s through the 1950s, Varon’s designs were often characterized by their elegance, creativity, and quality craftsmanship.

HOW TO FIND YOUR HAT SIZE
- Pull a fabric tape measure or length of string around your head just slightly above the ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head.
- Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly. You are measuring your head exactly where the hat will sit in either inches or centimeters.
- If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next largest size.
