Madge and Mr. Madge headed out this weekend on a beautiful spring morning to partake in the annual Gardens for Connoisseurs tour by the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Twelve private gardens were featured, all around the Atlanta area. Madge loves gardens but since she has the blackest of green thumbs she focused her photography on another kind of rare flower – Hats in the Garden!
Enjoy!
Picture perfect
Love this foldable floral number.
A vision in yellow.
Pretty straw Breton topper
Hands down winner for most fashionable.
Two friends
Pretty in Pink
These two are really channeling spring.
Classic summer straw
Beautiful blues
Fun wide-brim black & gray straw hat she also wore to the Kentucky Derby
She was mystified that I wanted a shot of “this old hat” but sometimes, the most well worn is the most fabulous!
We hope you enjoyed seeing these beautiful hats in the garden. In case you are missing real flowers right now, take a gander at this vegetable box garden. Who knew lettuce could look so good.

I Loved looking at all the beautiful women wearing all these fabulous hats! Fantastic Blog!
I don’t know what is more lovely, the ladies in hats or the beautiful backdrop that is Atlanta. Something so Special about Georgia, it always invokes memories of wonderful people and pleasing times spent there.
Quality Blog Madge, Thank you for producing it. (But where was Mr. Madge?)
Perhaps next year you will get to go again, and spread the word for hats. Charming ladies, and fun blog.
Love these, guys! Great natural beauty captured here. Oh how I miss my Indian Hills home! This is a ritual my mom and I enjoyed. Happy vintage-ing!
Indian Hills is one of my favorite estate sale haunts. Lots of fab mid century homes.
Love all of those summer hats! Everyone looks so happy wearing them, too. 🙂
I love how much fun you have with hats! Thanks for sharing these great photos!
