- Brass purse with tiles of sparkling mother of pearl on the front.
- Each side opens and snaps closed.
- One side has a money clip the other side contains the original mirror plus s space for lipstick, and powder.
What is a Minaudiere
A minaudière is a small, decorative clutch purse, typically made of metal or covered in decorative fabric, and often adorned with jewels, beads, or other ornamental details. The name “minaudière” comes from the French word “minauder,” which means to act coy or flirtatious.
The design was created by Van Cleef & Arpels in the 1930s and was named after its founder’s wife, Estelle Arpels. It is often used as an accessory for formal occasions, such as weddings, galas, and other fancy events, and is typically just large enough to hold a few small items, such as lipstick, a compact, and a small amount of money or credit cards.
