About Weiss

After starting his jewelry career at Coro,  Albert Weiss began his own company in 1942 in New York City, Well known for the quality of the rhinestones used, Weiss made several lines of costume jewelry.  Many pieces were fairly expensive for costume jewelry.

As with most of the major costume jewelry companies that lost business to imports, the company shut its doors in the 1970s.  The company’s relatively short history makes its clear rhinestone is highly prized by collectors.
