Snazzy gray hat by famed milliner Leslie James.
Vintage Gray Hat Details
- Vintage gray wool hat.
- The salmon pink grosgrain ribbon hatband makes a really inventive color combination with the gray body.
- An upturned brim on each side.
- Front of hat tapers to the back.
- Two different hatpins. In the front that is gray pearl bead; in the back a gray fabric knot.
- Matching gray netting and wool cord bow at back.
- Two inside combs and stretch cord for a secure fit.
Who was Leslie James?
Leslie James was a California based milliner active from the mid-1930s through the 1970s. The company was a partnership between James Druce who handled the business end and Leslie Masters who created the designs. Leslie James was adept at all types of hat styles.
