Neiman Marcus – A Brief History
Herbert Marcus, Sr., a former buyer with Dallas’ Sanger Brothers department store, left his previous job to found a new business with his sister Carrie Marcus Neiman and her husband, A.L. Neiman, then employees of Sanger Brothers competitor A. Harris and Co. After mulling over an offer from Coca Cola, the trio opted to open a department store in Dallas, Texas immediately targeting the newly oil-rich Texans.
In 1927 the store expanded and Neiman Marcus premiered the first weekly retail fashion show in the United States.
In the 1950s and 1960s, Neimans continued to grow with more outlets in Texas. Neiman Marcus is considered one of the most upscale chains in the world and is famous for the over-the-top his and her gifts in their Christmas catalog. The parent company also owns Bergdorf Goodman in New York City.

- Pull a fabric tape measure or length of string around your head just slightly above the ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head.
- Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly. You are measuring your head exactly where the hat will sit in either inches or centimeters.
- If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next largest size.
