About Siam Silver
The Siam silver jewelry type emerged in Thailand, specifically crafted for the tourist trade from the 1930s through the 1970s. Niello, a technique involving the filling of carved-out sections of sterling silver with a black metallic compound typically composed of sulfur, copper, silver, and lead, was used, followed by polishing until achieving a smooth finish.
