- 1950s Archie Eason white hat.
- White straw with tall open weave crown.
- Waterfall brim of straw loops. Stands 1″ from the crown and hangs down 4″ from the bottom third of the crown.
- Signature single green sequin in the back.
- Truly a one of a kind piece of art.

Who Was Archie Eason
Archie Eason started out as a stock boy at a department store in Jacksonville Florida in 1984. Between shifts, he learned the millinery trade by watching the hat makers. His skill landed him a job in the millinery department and, in a few years was designing for the store under his own label.
After 14 years he moved to New York and worked with numerous fashion designers, developing an impressive clientele of Hollywood stars. Eason was known for producing all types of hats to fit every type of face. His most famous creation was Faye Dunaway’s beret in 1968’s Bonnie and Clyde. A green sequin is an Eason signature and rides on the outside of the crown on each of his hats. Read more on our blog.
Davisons was a regional department store chain headquarter in Atlanta with stores in Georgia and South Carolina. Started in 1891 as the Davison Paxon Company the chain was sold to R H Macy & Company in 1925. The name was shortened to Davisons and was operated independently by Macys for over 60 years. The chain was eventually subsumed into the Macys chain by 1986.
