Classic mid-century newsboy cap in a bold burgundy and black houndstooth pattern on a beige ground. The traditional eight-panel construction creates the full, rounded silhouette that defines the classic newsboy style.
A small front brim and fabric-covered button at the crown complete the timeless design. Inside, the cap features a black lining and leather sweatband, with a partially unreadable label and Made in U.S.A. tag indicating American manufacture.
The rich color combination and graphic houndstooth pattern give this cap plenty of vintage character while remaining easy to pair with modern wardrobes.

Flat Cap vs Newsboy
The names newsboy and flat caps are often used interchangeably since both are usually made from tweed. However, there are some differences. Newsboy caps are a bit puffier with a small brim and made with eight section of fabric. On the top, a button out of the same fabric connects the sections.Â
Flat caps, as the name suggests, is flatter, without the top button and no separate brim. In addition to tweet, flat caps are made from other fabrics and leather.  Either way, caps are fun and flattering look for both men and women.

- Pull a fabric tape measure or length of string around your head just slightly above the ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head.
- Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly. You are measuring your head exactly where the hat will sit in either inches or centimeters.
- If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next largest size.

Always handle vintage hats by the brim, not the crown. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep them in a hatbox or covered with acid-free tissue to prevent dust. Avoid using modern sprays or steam, as these can damage delicate materials and trims. For reshaping or cleaning, it’s best to consult a professional milliner experienced in vintage restoration.
